The V-Rack Bike Rack replaced our well-Known V-Ring design in 2022.
The design was updated to give it a more modern look and to improve manufacturing efficiency. Largely similar, the V-Rack includes improvements like a longer locking ring and an improved hook for the bike’s fork to sit on.
Installed in hundreds of buildings across Western Canada, by now, thousands of V-Racks have kept tens of thousands of bikes safely for years on end.
Vertical spaces are smaller and thus enable more bikes to be parked in less space.
Vertical spaces are however limited to no more than 30% of the available bike spaces. This is so that people of different abilities can all have easy access to bike parking.
Vancouver Bike Room code requires that vertical bike spaces be 2′ wide and 40″ long.
Accordingly, the V-Rack is designed to locate the bike in the middle of the 2′ wide space. It does so with an angled arm that extends midway into bike space.
One implication of this however is that if your bike space is not 2′ wide, the V-Rack will not be a suitable choice.
