The V-Rack Bike Rack replaced our well-known V-Ring design in 2022.
Largely similar, the design was updated to give it a more modern look and to improve manufacturing efficiency.
Constructed from tubular steel and solid steel bar, these simple yet tough bike racks are used to secure tens of thousands of bicycles across Vancouver every day.
Each arm of the V-Rack is securely welded to a thick steel plate.
That plate is then anchored to the floor using 2 expansion bolts fastened into the concrete slab. This sturdy connection affixes the rack to the floor and provides a solid stand for the bike to rest against.
Vancouver Bike Room code requires that floor mount bike spaces are sized at 2′ wide x 6′ long + a 4′ aisle in front of that space.
The V-Rack is designed to fit that requirement, and is angled such that it supports a bike above its center of gravity in the middle of the 2′ wide space. To do this, it angles up an over into the space. The bar is angled to allow the bike’s pedals to clear the rack when passing.
Please note however that if your space is less than 2′ wide, the V-Rack will not be a suitable choice for you. We instead suggest our Lo-Interior Bike Rack.
